Day 12 brings us to the place of considering praying scripture as a part of our prayer life. The thought is pretty simple – If I want God to lead our conversations, then shouldn’t I let Him start the conversations. The only way I can do that is to pray scripture. It’s His Word.
The beautiful thing about using scripture in your prayers is that scripture always leads you to God. Scripture leads you to His will, His thoughts, and His heart. We learn about Him every time we read scripture, and learning about Him leads me to pray more like I should.
Praying scripture does require time. You won’t pray with an open Bible as you’re driving to work or school, but when you spend your time reading and praying every day, it’s right there for you.
