It’s day 11 of our prayer challenge, and I hope you are spending more time alone with God than you have before this challenge.
Today, the challenge is to receive and use the peace of God in your life. Peace is very valuable, but very difficult to find. In fact, finding it apart from God is impossible! But with Him, it is there whenever you need it (John 14:27)
I’m not sure what each of you individually is going through, but I know one of the biggest challenges we face is to keep our heads up and trust God when the world around us is going crazy! I struggle with this just like you do. I want to fuss and complain when things don’t go my way. I look for things in this world to satisfy me, when I know God is the only thing that can give me fulfillment. I want everyone and everything in my life to get along and work out perfectly. I know none of this works, but I spend a ton of time and energy trying to figure it out.
What is going crazy in your world today? What things are you trying to fill in the gaps with? God has the peace we need to hold our head high, give grace and mercy to those who need it, and keep moving. He loves us and wants the best for us, even when the storm around us rages. TRUST and REST in Him today, no matter what the world tells you to do.
