It’s hard to believe we are 1/2 way through our 21 days, but remember, this is just the beginning!
If you’re feeling really behind because you haven’t read the book everyday, please don’t be discouraged. Take time to read the NEXT day for you, and go back to look at the blog. We want you to read something and pray every day – not to feel guilty and not do it.
The opening quote today got me right off the bat: “you can only go as far FOR God as you have time WITH God.”
The idea is simple – I can only go as far for God as I spend time with Him. In other words, if I’m going to build a tall building for the world to see, then I better have a deep and wide foundation to support what others can see. It’s the iceberg principle – you see 1/3 of it, but the part you don’t see is what keeps it upright and moving with the current.
The principle for us is HUGE – there are no shortcuts in your walk with Jesus. If you want to be used by Him and for His glory, then you have to do the hard part – spend time with Him. How much He can use you is directly proportional to how much time you spend with Him. AND how serious you are about that time.
I love you all, and know that I am struggling through and being convicted by this too. I need Him more. I need to focus on building His kingdom and not mine. I fall short. I am ashamed and feel guilty more days than not, but the TRUTH is, He loves me and wants to continue making me into His masterpiece.
