Read Acts 12:1-5 again – it is written for you in the opening of today’s devotion. The last phrase is “but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.”

The devotion analyzes each word in that phrase. The pieces of that statement are so important! The church had a reason to be scared, but instead they chose to act. They didn’t act on their own, but they petitioned the One who could actually change the situation. The specifics of the phrase are important too. They made the petition earnestly. They made it to God. They got everyone involved.

That’s the purpose of these 21 days. We want you to get used to praying earnestly, to God, and us doing it together. Please take some time today to get involved in this movement. You may not see an instant miracle like the church in Acts 12 did, but you WILL be encouraged and your faith will be strengthened because you pray the same things other people are praying.

Notice that day 8 asks you to diligently pray for our church staff! We need it, and I can tell you with 100% certainty, we want you to pray for us. So thank you for praying.
