I really hope this finds everyone well and having a great week! Jenny and I had the unique privilege of spending 8 days traveling with a group of 34 in Honduras. The experience is much too extensive to relate in a blog, but I would like to leave you with a few simple thoughts.
I won’t pull at your heart strings through stories of impoverished children or generations of a family living under the same roof in conditions unimaginable to us. The conditions are amazingly bad, but the thing we came home with was the relationships formed. We learned people’s names, hugged them over and over, and left them with the promise of seeing them again.
The relationships we form or grow each day are the foundation for who we are and who we become. The primary relationship on which we feed is the one with Jesus Christ. A trip like this reminds me in a glaring way that He truly is enough! My daily needs are important, my family is important, my relationships are important, but the MOST IMPORTANT “need” in my life is Him. A trip like this impacts everyone in different places in their life, but everyone sees clearly the “needs” we have each day aren’t really needs at all. He really is all that matters.
We love you all and can’t wait until Bible Study next Tuesday, June 14th!
